Overview

 

In this class, we equip project leadership with the insights, techniques and tools to help them successfully navigate complex, interdependent, expectation-laden projects. The secret to success is applying Emotional Intelligence (EI) to challenging project situations, and participants in this class will not only learn about Emotional Intelligence but will also learn to identify it, leverage it, and improve it on their teams.

Participants receive two booklets (one for each day) containing course materials:

  • The slides, pre-populated with notes and info (still plenty of room to add your own)

  • Eight case studies, all about the same project examining different uses of EI

  • Tools and techniques to use on-the-job next day

  • A comprehensive bibliography/resource list

About the Instructor

Susan de la Vergne was an Information Technology manager for 25 years, a career she prepared for by majoring in English and Theater in college. Susan brings her interesting and unusual combination of education and experience to engineers and tech professionals who want to become better communicators. Whether it’s learning how to prepare and deliver effective, actionable presentations or how to write efficient, actionable, even enjoyable (!) business deliverables.
